I love KY. Lilla & I went to the farmer's market downtown this morning and bought all kinds of good stuff. We'll be making raspberry, white chocolate muffins this week! She went to her first concert Friday night in downtown Lexington, but it started pouring down raining (outdoor concert), so I thought I should take her home.
Will & I went cave exploring with some friends on Friday. You had to get on your belly and army crawl or roll for long stretches. Will only went so far because of his asthma - which was good b/c I am sick today and I think he would have been too. We crawled through some really cold water, and we got to this part where you had to climb up two levels using ropes. We all made it up the first section, but I was the only one able to make it to the top of the other section (Will was not with us at this point). All those times climbing the rock wall at GO came in handy. Apparently if you go about 2 hours in, there's a waterfall. No one with us had been before, so we'll have to see that some other time. When I got to the top, it was pretty open, but there were multiple directions you can go. I definitely had a bat fly directly at my head - and climbing back down was pretty scary. I have bruises on my elbows, knees, and scratches on my back, but I loved it.
It is good to be here, but this change has been a reminder that just because you move - it doesn't make everything perfect. It's still been a transition for us. Being a full time seminary student with a family has not been as easy as we thought it might be, but I am thankful to be here. I see God already working on both of us in so many ways.
